Personal Background

Prior to joining the Lanier Law Firm, Chris worked with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in the Air Enforcement Division of the Office of Civil Enforcement in Washington, D.C. There, he frequently conducted regulatory research in order to draft enforcement decisions, and participated in settlement negotiations with various defendants. Chris earned his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law in Lansing, Michigan in 2012. During his time at Michigan State, Chris was a MSU Merit Scholar, member of the Dean’s List, and member of the MSU Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Team. In addition, Chris also interned for MSU Technologies, which is the patenting and licensing arm of Michigan State University. There, he conducted prior art searches and formulated patentability and marketing opinions for technologies developed by MSU employees.
