Personal Background

Megan Waida joined the Asbestos Litigation Issues and Appeals section of The Lanier Law Firm in 2012 as a well-seasoned attorney advocating on behalf of the victims of asbestos exposure at other well-recognized plaintiffs’ firms.

Megan is a native Texan, born and raised in Victoria. She graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock in 2002, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Marketing. While at Tech, Megan was a member of Beta, Beta, Beta National Biological Honor Society; Rho Lambda, a national leadership recognition society for sorority women; and Order of Omega, a national Greek leadership honor society. She earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law, graduating in the top fifteen percent of her class and earning numerous honors including the Highest Grade Award for Legal Research and Writing II and multiple appointments to the Dean’s Honor List. At South Texas, Megan was also a member of Phi Delta Phi, an international legal honors fraternity, and the Texas Tech Law Society.

Megan was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2006. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the American Association for Justice.

Megan calls Tomball, Texas home where she lives with her two children Magdalene and Davyn. Megan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and, when time and life permit, a leisurely read of a good book.
